DCS Appoints Ian Maddocks as Director of EMV Solutions

Dynamic Card Solutions Enhances EMV Expertise

Englewood, Colo.—(June 24, 2008) — Dynamic Card Solutions (DCS), developer of CardWizard®, the leading instant issue and PIN selection software application for financial institutions, today announced the appointment of Ian Maddocks as director of EMV Solutions.  In this role, Maddocks will lead DCS’ technical team on EMV instant issuance.

Maddocks has over 10 years of experience in the smart card payments industry and is actively involved in numerous EMV migration projects. Maddocks comes to DCS from StepNexus, the company that took ownership of MULTOS smart card operating system in 2005.  There, Maddocks was responsible for service development and played a key role in advancing EMV personalization techniques.

Before joining StepNexus, Maddocks was with Thales, where he managed the P3 data preparation product line. Maddocks worked on the Thales’ P3 product line from its conception.  During this time, Maddocks was an active member of the GlobalPlatform Systems Committee, where he led the working group for Key Management through the development and publication of the GlobalPlatform Key Management Functional Requirements Specification.

Maddocks has extensive knowledge of Visa® and MasterCard® payment applications.  He has been involved with recent projects such as the MasterCard contactless PayPass & transport solutions in Taiwan, Visa VSDC implementation on MULTOS, and various native card instant issuance implementations for VSDC and MChip.
